What Are the SDGs?
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a global agenda established by the United Nations (UN) to create a more equitable, prosperous, and sustainable world by 2030. Comprising 17 Goals and 169 targets, the SDGs address various aspects of life, ranging from poverty eradication, quality education, and gender equality to concrete action on climate change.
The Role of FMIPAK UNIMA in Supporting the SDGs
As part of Universitas Negeri Manado, the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Earth Sciences (FMIPAK) has an important responsibility to support the achievement of the SDGs through:
- Education: Equipping students with relevant knowledge and skills to address global challenges.
- Research: Conducting innovative research in mathematics, natural sciences, and earth sciences that contributes to sustainable solutions.
- Community Service: Engaging lecturers and students in activities that promote community well-being and environmental sustainability.

Through interdisciplinary collaboration, partnerships with communities, and the development of innovative solutions, the Faculty strives to make meaningful contributions to sustainable development at the local, national, and global levels.
